Dear best friend,

 

I have received your letter and I was so happy when I was reading it. I felt like you were here with me and I miss you too. With that being said, my parents gave me a camera as a Christmas gift; which will hopefully allow me to share some pictures with you. I already sent you photos of the snowman that I built in the park the other day.

 

Do you remember in my letter I talked about how the snow is beautiful? In fact I was so wrong because winter is very cold and we get terrible snowstorms. It is like a snow factory!

I know in Taiwan it is also cold in winter but it is nothing like Quebec city. It is so freezing that sometimes we cannot even go to school.

 

I would like to let you know that I love you and miss you bestie.

Ma chère meilleure amie,

J’ai reçu ta lettre et j’étais si heureuse en la lisant. C’était comme si tu étais encore avec moi. Tu me manques. Pour Noël, mes parents m’ont donné un appareil-photo, qui me permettra avec un peu de chance de t’envoyer quelques photos. Je t’ai déjà joint des clichés du bonhomme de neige que j’ai fait l’autre jour au parc.

 

Te rappelles-tu que j’ai dit dans ma lettre que la neige était magnifique? En fait, j’avais tellement tort : l’hiver, c’est vraiment froid et il y a beaucoup de tempêtes. On dirait une usine à neige! Je sais qu’il fait froid l’hiver à Taiwan, mais ce n’est rien comparé à Québec. On gèle tellement que parfois on ne peut pas aller à l’école.

Je voulais que tu saches que je t’aime et que tu me manques ma chère amie.

我最親愛的摯友：

      我收到你的信了，當我在看你寫的信時，就好像你就在我身旁。    

      對了，聖誕節時，我爸媽給了我一台新相機，在這封信裡有一張雪人的照片，那是我用新相機拍的喔！

      還記得我跟你說過這裡的雪景很美嗎？但現在我覺得完全不是這麼一回事！有暴風雪時，天氣簡直冷極了，下不停的雪讓我覺得我好像在拍冰雪奇緣。雖然台灣有時候也會很冷，但完全不能跟魁北克比，有時候我們還會因為暴風雪而停課呢，真的是太可怕了！

      那你呢？今天過得好嗎？
