Hello Kitty,

 

The airplane trip went well. I was so surprised when I looked down the window though; everything was white! The most magical part was when we got home. See, I live in a place called Vieux-Québec. At night, the buildings are shining like the stars were attached to them. Mom and Dad told me it’s because Christmas is coming in 5 days. Apparently, the children here wait all evening on December 24th to get Christmas gifts when the clock strikes twelve.

Bonjour Kitty,

​

Le voyage en avion s’est bien passé. J’ai par contre été très surprise, lorsque j’ai regardé par la fenêtre : tout était blanc! Le moment le plus magique a été l’arrivée à la maison. J’habite le «Vieux-Québec» où la nuit, les bâtiments brillent comme des étoiles. Maman et Papa m’ont dit que c’est parce que Noël est dans cinq jours. Apparemment, les enfants d’ici attendent toute la soirée du 24 décembre pour recevoir leurs cadeaux au douzième coup de minuit.

Et toi? Qu’est-ce que tu vas faire pour Noël cette année?

J’espère avoir de tes nouvelles bientôt.

親愛的凱蒂：

      飛機順利降落在魁北克了。我永遠都會記得當我從窗外看出去時，一整片雪白的世界，我從來沒看過這麼美的雪景。我現在住在魁北克舊城裡，晚上時，這裡的房子會像星星一樣閃閃發光，就好像魔術師施了魔法一樣。

五天之後就是最令我期待的聖誕節了，在十二月二十四號的晚上，我們將會一起倒數，等待時針指向十二的那個瞬間。
